Welcome to the Computational Modeling, Analysis, and Design Optimization (CMADO) lab! CMADO is devoted to creating new methodologies, algorithms, and computational tools to enable systematic design innovation and efficient additive manufacturing of engineering products by exploring the potential of topology optimization, applied mathematics, and computer science. Our research interests are particularly in structural shape and topology optimization for nonlinear, dynamic, multimaterial and multiphysics problems with applications to the rational design of soft robots, metamaterials, and flexible electronics.
