Our lab received $525K grant as part of a $2.2M DOE project led by NREL, with partners GE and ORNL, to develop recyclable, 3D-printed magnets for 15-MW wind turbines. Prof. Shikui Chen leads the SBU team with Prof. Longtin and Prof. Luo.

Lingfeng Gao was selected to participate in the NSF-ICorps training with the project "Magnet Topology Optimization for Electric Machine Design" and has since been invited to compete in the New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC). After winning the school, regional, and New York State first round, Lingfeng earned an invitation to the New  York State final round in Albany, New York.
